This full-day course is designed for supervisors, managers, and operatives who use harnesses and fall protection equipment and may be required to carry out a remote rescue at height.
Operational Knowledge
The course provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to plan and perform safe and effective rescues in accordance with current legislation and manufacturer guidance.
Key topics include working at height regulations, fall protection systems, rescue planning, casualty risks, and the correct selection and inspection of rescue equipment.
Technical Execution
Rescue Systems
Participants will learn how to set up rescue systems, connect to a fallen casualty using a remote rescue pole, and safely raise or lower the individual to a place of safety.
Post-Rescue Care
The course also covers post-rescue care considerations and equipment management, ensuring a comprehensive response to emergency situations.
Practical Training
Practical training is a core element, with delegates carrying out realistic rescue scenarios under instructor supervision.
